About Connections	English (USA)
Connections is a joint project of the Oregon State Library and the Portland Field Office of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The list is designed to encourage networking and information sharing among professionals throughout Oregon in nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions in the areas of ESL, literacy, citizenship, and civics. There is a wealth of information and experience among individuals and organizations throughout Oregon - from Enterprise to Gold Beach and Astoria to Burns. Unfortunately, this experience is often not utilized because people in one part of Oregon do not know what has already been achieved elsewhere. It is our hope that this list acts as a catalyst to encourage people to network with colleagues throughout Oregon to enhance the development of ESL, literacy, citizenship, and civics. Please do not post job notices or promote any commercial activity. Also, note that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Oregon State Library reserve the right to remove a list member without cause or explanation. Using Connections
To post a message to all the list members, send email to connections@listsmart.osl.state.or.us. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Connections
Subscribe to Connections by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
