The Multnomah County Health Department and the Oregon Department of Human Services, Health Services are sponsoring the 2003 Public Health Academy. The academy includes five project teams with a total of 27 members in 2003. The goals are to complete a useful, beneficial project in public health practice; to strengthen a team's ability to plan, develop and implement more effective programs; and to learn and apply both public health concepts and outcomes-based skills in a supportive learning environment.
