Welcome to SafetyRisk-Insider. This is Risk Management's list service for agency Safety Advisors, Risk Coordinators and key managers. Through the SafetyRisk-Insider, we will do our best to keep you up-to-date. Through the SafetyRisk Insider we will strive to get you first hand information about state risk management issues. Those issues cover property asset protection and tort liability management. We will keep you up to date on safety management and workers' compensation. We know that you are the people that make the state successful. It is through you that your agency can avoid unnecessary risks. And you help them manage those risks that your agency must take on. It is vital that you identify risks early. Implement strategies to prevent injuries and loss. And plan actions that will enable you to mitigate any losses that do occur. We will use this list service to tell you about changes at Risk Management. We will pass on inquiries, information or questions from colleagues in different agencies. We will tell you about training, meetings and resources. We will do our best to keep you up-to-date on risk management issues. Some key things to know about SafetyRisk-Insider: 1) This is the main method we use to send out key risk and safety management information. 2) We will subscribe official risk coordinators and safety advisors as we learn of your appointment. We will do our best to remove people who have moved on to other assignments as we are notified. 3) Subscription to this list is by approval. Key managers in agencies can request a subscription. However, to keep the list manageable, we will limit subscription to managers who have job duties that specifically relate to risk and safety. We are sorry to have to limit access in this way. Agency Risk Coordinators and Safety Advisors have internal contact lists that may be the best way to get information within your agency. In addition, Risk Management publishes RisKeyNotes three times a year. This newsletter is automatically sent to all agency managers. For each mailing, we get a current list of all management service employees from DAS-HRSD. OUS handles distribution to managers internally. 4) To unsubscribe to this list is by approval also. If you unsubscribe and are an officially appointed Safety Advisor or Risk Coordinator, you may miss important information. 5) This is a one way list. You can reply only to the message sender. We welcome your questions and comments. 6) We hope you will share the information we send. There are folks in your agency that may have an interest in the particular topic in a message. We encourage you to forward the Insider message to your internal network. Or cut and paste as you wish. We look forward to working with you.
