More recently they have developed Opening History, a resource that focuses on U.S. History: http://imlsdcc.grainger.uiuc.edu/history/ Opening History now includes 803 collections from throughout the country. There are two collections from Southern Oregon University in Opening History: http://imlsdcc.grainger.uiuc.edu/history/collections/GemHostInst.asp?name=So uthern+Oregon+University.+Library I know that many of you have developed rich digital collections that should also be included in Opening History. I want to invite your library to participate in the project. There is no cost and the effort involved is minimal. By participating in Opening History you will improve the ability of researchers to discover and use your digital collections. Opening History is funded by the IMLS, and IMLS would especially like to see all of the digital collections that were created with LSTA funding included in Opening History. To learn how to participate, please go to this website: http://imlsdcc.grainger.uiuc.edu/about.asp Thanks for considering this invitation.
