If you have not provided LearningExpress with your authentication information you will need to go to our implementation website at: http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/LD/technology/sdlp/LearningExpress/. The website has specific instructions for contacting LearningExpress with your authentication information. For implementation questions please e-mail libraries at learningexpressllc.com. Library Development staff are currently working with LE staff to develop promotional materials that will be sent to each Oregon library. Each library will receive posters, bookmarks and a promotional handbook. These materials have been customized with the Oregon State Library logo and LSTA funding information. We plan to send those materials out in mid-December. We will also be offering in-person training in the spring of 2011. We will provide you with more information as we make those arrangements. There are webinars available on-line and registration information is on the implementation website: http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/LD/technology/sdlp/LearningExpress/ If you have questions about setting up access to LEL after reading the information on the support page, please send an e-mail to libraries at learningexpressllc.com. For other questions about the product, contact customer service at customerservice at learningexpressllc.com. If you have difficulties with LE Customer Support, please contact MaryKay Dahlgreen, Jen Maurer or Darci Hanning. This longitudinal survey continued over a period of six academic years, from 2003-04 to 2008-09, and provides information about the rates at which students completed degrees or certificates, transferred to other institutions, and left postsecondary education without attaining degrees or certificates. PowerStats is an easy-to-use tool for the analysis of NCES' postsecondary education data. Education analysts and researchers can answer questions drawing upon nine postsecondary datasets and the thousands of variables they contain. This tool permits analysts to drag and drop variables into table/regression workspaces of their own design. PowerStats , which replaced the Data Analysis System (DAS), has simplified how users view, select, manipulate and use variables. Further, NCES has added tools that allow users to build an online library of their work for future use and/or to share their work with other PowerStats users. To view more information and to access the data, please visit http://nces.ed.gov/datalab. Once you click on the PowerStats icon, log-in using your existing PowerStats account or create a new one following the on-screen instructions. Powerstats and the datasets it uses are products of the National Center for Education Statistics at the Institute of Education Sciences, part of the U.S. Department of Education. ...connecting research, policy and practice Ann Reed, Federal Programs Coordinator Library Development Services Oregon State Library 250 Winter St. NE Salem, OR 97301 (503) 378-5027 fax (503) 378-6439 ann.reed at state.or.us -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
