<p class="MsoNormal">The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) has begun accepting applications for the second call of the Recordings at Risk program, a national re-granting program administered by CLIR to support the preservation of rare and
unique recordings of high scholarly value in the United States. Generously funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation the program will award a total of $2.15 Million in three open competitions in 2017-2018. (Two other calls for applications will be available.
Deadline dates are February and June 2018.) <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Eligible Applicants: <o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i>U.S. nonprofit academic, research, or cultural organizations</i>. Please note that the organization and its collections must be located in the United States. Grants may be made to government units and their agencies or instrumentalities,
provided that cultural heritage is the primary function of the unit and grant funds will be used for charitable purposes within the scope of the Recordings at Risk program. Grants may also be made to <a href="http://www.ncsl.org/research/state-tribal-institute/list-of-federal-and-state-recognized-tribes.aspx#federal" target="_blank" title="List of Federal and State Recognized Tribes">federally
recognized tribal governments</a>.<o:p></o:p></p>
