Good morning Answerlanders,

A patron has a question for us: " I'm trying to organize the nonfiction books in my personal collection by Dewey Decimal number. When I look up a book in the library of Congress catalog I often get Dewey Decimal numbers that have slashes in them, like 362.2/1/097444. When I use the local library, I never see these slashes. The same book in the local library is 362.2109. What do the slashes signify? Thank you!"

You can find this question (#12648096) in the Shared Followup list in QuestionPoint.
