[Answerland] Firefox issue resolved

Hi all,
I haven't heard of any issues since I sent out my below email. I contacted OCLC again, and was told "It appears to have been fixed with the Adobe updates," but they are "keeping our ears open in case there are still issues for anyone." So please don't hesitate to let me or OCLC know if problems persist or return.

Hi again,
Update on the Firefox issue from OCLC:

"A new version of Flash for Firefox was released today.  We believe it solves the problems."  To tell if you have the latest release, go to Alt-H > About Firefox.  Firefox should be 56.0.1.

If you continue to experience problems and have the latest release, OCLC says "It would be good to know if a librarian has the 32 bit or 64 bit version."  To tell which you have, go to Alt-H > About Firefox.

Tamara,

We are still validating the consistency of this fix.  I wanted to get it into your hands to try while we finalize.

Uncheck the protected mode box at tools > add ons > plugins > shockwave flash > options > enable protected mode

This is something that Adobe recently added or changed that is causing issues.  If you don't see the box, check to make sure you have Flash from September 12 or greater at Tools > Add-ons > Flash > more
