Hello Answerlanders,

A fellow librarian is looking for our help:

"Hi, I'm really interested in a career in library science and was wondering how to narrow down to a specific focus and what sort of degrees to pursue. I'm most excited about the ideas of deep, nerdy research; archiving & preserving texts/manuscripts; transcribing documents (right now I'm obsessed with the "By the People" transcription project with the Library of Congress); and making obscure books available to all. Any guidance, advice, or personal experience you'd like to share is most welcome! Thank you so much!"
