Good morning everyone!

Please see below for some important communication announcements:

ODE WEBPAGE REORGANIZATION:

We've recently reorganized our Smarter Balanced assessment webpages to improve access and ease of use.  Please take a look: http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?id=3298.  Now, our Smarter Balanced landing page connects easily to the following:

*       Internal pages for Smarter Balanced Test Administration, Technology Requirements, Technical Documents, and Communication Resources
*       Related Websites like the OAKS Portal, SBAC, and CCSS
*       Internal pages for CCSS

 Consider this a one-stop shop for direct access to resources as well as connection to two additional locations that house Smarter Balanced information-our OAKS Portal and the SBAC website.  Please communicate our reorganization broadly and encourage teachers and other administrators in your district to explore our site and resources.  If you are new to our site in general and need assistance locating ANYTHING, please let me know.  I am here to help.


COMMUNICATION RESOURCES:

All of our Smarter Balanced communication materials can be found on our new SB Communication Resources page at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?id=4302.  Materials include handouts, PPT materials, Toolkits, and-most recently added-an Achievement Level Setting video and set of assessment infographics.  I'd be happy to answer questions regarding these materials and/or assist with any communication planning.  Please send this along to any communications specialists, public information officers, etc. in your schools/districts.  I also recommend sharing this link with community groups and education organizations in your area.  I so greatly appreciate your help with our mission to better inform our communities!
