RE:  Secure Preview of 2014-15 Assessment Data in Achievement Data Insight on District Website

Districts can preview unsuppressed versions of their final 2014-15 assessment group data on the district secure web site as of 11 AM on September 3.  These data reflect districts' edits as of August 21 to test records in Student Staging and to the 3rd Period Cumulative ADM collection and the LEP collection. Districts may use this preview period to analyze the data in preparation for the public release on September 17.

The Achievement Data Insight will display data only for the district logged in. This allows users to preview and download unsuppressed counts and percents for their own district. Since the data is not suppressed for confidentiality, it must be handled in a secure manner.

The public version of the assessment group data is scheduled to be released on the public website on Thursday, September 17. The public version of the assessment group data will be suppressed for confidentiality.

Instructions for previewing the 2014-15 unsuppressed assessment group data on the district web site:

1)      Log in to the ODE Extranet via the Central Login application (https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/), and choose the Achievement Data Insight application from the Applications List. You will need permissions to the English Language Arts, Mathematics (not Math), and Science Student Performance tiles. (If you do not have access to the application or to the validation tiles, please contact your District Security Administrator: https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/searchSA.aspx.)

2)      The validations are not currently open, so you will need to click the ALL tab at the upper right of the screen. This is where all open and closed validations are displayed.

3)      Choose one of the subject validation tiles (i.e., English Language Arts Student Performance) from the available tiles.

4)      Click the AGR tab (the third tab, next to the Detail tab).

5)      To view test results for a particular school, click the [Show Filter] button in the dark blue bar in the middle of the screen. Type the School ID or School Name in the filter box and tab or enter. You can filter by any of the available columns.

6)      To sort by any column, click the column heading (once for ascending, again for descending).

7)      If you would like to download the data that is displayed on the screen, click on the [Download Data] button in the dark blue bar in the middle of the screen and choose a file format from the list of options (CSV or Excel); then click Open or Save when asked "Do you want to open or save the file?"
