[bike_psob] bike pump maintenance question

I need an opinion on something. Can I use the Triflow stuff that's in the tool cabinet to lubricate the inside of the bike pump? Or, will that degrade rubber? The CityBikes people recommended a light weight engine oil.

P.S. Apologies for cross-posting. I'm trying to start using our bike listserv.
