Subject: Bike theft at The Portland Building

 

A bike theft happened yesterday, 11-24-08 at The Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Ave.  Security was preoccupied with another incident when two subjects entered the loggia area of the building.  One acted as a lookout and the other used bolt cutters to remove a cable securing the victim's bike to the stanchions.  They were rather bold in their act.  Photos are attached.  It is anticipated with the cold weather, they will be similarly dressed.  If seen, please call the police and notify the security desk at The Portland Building at 503-823-5388.  All we have at this time is a silver GT mountain bike with some expensive parts.  More details to follow.  Both suspect's wore backpacks.
