FYI. One of the "Lloyd Bikeway Projects" referred to below is a much
needed redesign of the 12th Ave bridge crossing that many of us use on
our commute. And, did you notice the "free massages" on Bike to Work
Day?

Mark your calendar! The Lloyd TMA Bike Committee is hosting two
important Bike events in May. 
 
Lloyd Bikeway Projects Cyclists* Open House
 

Date/time:
Thursday May 5, Noon to 1:00pm

Location:
Lloyd Center Tower Skybridge Conference Rooms (825 NE Multnomah St.,
Multnomah/Irvington Rooms -- 2nd floor, adjacent to Nordstrom)

Program:
The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation is leading a process to
improve bicycle operations on three Lloyd District corridors. Guests
from PBOT's project team will provide a brief overview of the three
current Lloyd District Bikeway Improvement projects, and will answer
commuters' relevant questions in a guided Q&A.  Brown-bag (snacks
served) presentation by the Lloyd TMA's Bike Committee for Lloyd
District employees who commute by bike into the district.  Check out the

Lloyd TMA Bike to Work Day

Friday May 13, 7:30am to 9:00am

Location:
Oregon Square, NE Holladay between 7th and 9th Avenues

Program:
Annual celebration breakfast al-fresco for commuters on bikes.
?         Breakfast treats and beverages from local vendors
?         Local dignitaries (TBA) in attendance
?         Free wrenching on commuters' bikes, by Bike Gallery and
Cyclepath
?         Free massages for bike commuters, by East-West College
?         Folding bike giveaway!
?         Tri-met Bus visibility and bike-rack demo
?         Plenty of bike rack parking added for the event
?         Other tables/presenters include: Zipcar, REI, Tour de Cure,
Lloyd TMA, Lloyd Bikeways Project, Trauma Nurses Talk Tough
