It seems to be a malicious act. If you (like me) ride these routes, try to keep a look out and make sure to bring an extra tube or patch kit with you. If you get a flat on your way into the office, our Commuter Connection store (address below) has tubes and patch kits for sale. Obviously, whoever is setting these tacks out is cretin and I hope they get caught red-handed soon, but it certainly doesn't hurt to mention that we do have a Fix a Flat workshop this Friday at Oregon Square at noon. Might be a good time to learn how to repair a flat, just in case.
