CDC recently released: Tuberculosis Screening, Testing, and Treatment of U.S. Health Care Personnel: Recommendations from the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association and CDC<Tuberculosis%20Screening,%20Testing,%20and%20Treatment%20of%20U.S.%20Health%20Care%20Personnel:>. This is an addition and update to Guidelines for Preventing the Transmission of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Health-Care Settings, 2005<https://www.cdc.gov/tb/publications/guidelines/infectioncontrol.htm>.  All health care facilities in Oregon may implement the new CDC guideline now. In Oregon, we moved quickly to implement the new guidance so facilities could stop annual health care personnel (HCP) testing. We recognize not all aspects of the new CDC guidance are clear. Please continue to email me your feedback and questions. Oregon specific guidance will be developed based upon your concerns. We understand it may take health care facilities time to make changes to their current practices.

Webinars are scheduled on July 2, 2-3 p.m. and July 10, 10-11 a.m. to review the guidelines and answer questions.
