The Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division has permanently amended OAR 333-072-0210 pertaining to health care practitioner referrals. In response to passage of SB 856 (Oregon Laws 2017,
chapter 356), the definition of 'health practitioner' has been amended to include naturopathic physicians licensed under ORS chapter 685. This change requires a naturopathic physician to provide notice of patient choice related to referrals for diagnostic
tests, health care services or treatments. This change becomes effective on January 1, 2018.
