REGARDING:     Deadline Extended for Written Comments on Proposed Rulemaking regarding Pay Equity Law (2017 HB 2005)
On August 28, 2018, the Bureau filed with the Oregon Secretary of State a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding proposed adoption of rules that would effectuate the specific requirements and enforcement details of the pay equity law (HB 2005, 2017). With this memo please find the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
A public hearing is scheduled for 9:00 AM on September 28, 2018 at the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, 800 NE Oregon St. #1045, Portland, OR, 97232.
The deadline for public comment will be extended beyond that posted with the original notice. The deadline to comment on the proposed rules is 5:00 p.m. on October 12, 2018.  Members of the public are welcome to submit comments by mail or email prior to this deadline.
