[Boli_rules] BOLI Apprenticeship and Training Division files Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

Legislators and Interested Parties:

On February 11, 2019, the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) Apprenticeship and Training Division (ATD) filed with the Oregon Secretary of State, a Notice of Proposed Permanent Rule that would amend OAR 839-011-0088 to allow ATD to report apprentice information to "PRISM," a data system that collects and disseminates performance measurement data for individuals receiving workforce services. Attached please find the Notice of Proposed Permanent Rule, that includes the text of the proposed amended rule.  Comments on the proposed amended rule  may be emailed to the Apprenticeship Operations Manager at Jessica.Ponaman at state.or.us or mailed to Jessica Ponaman c/o BOLI, 800 NE Oregon St. #1045, Portland OR 97232. The deadline for comments is March 21, 2019 at 5 pm.

Because ATD is unable to report information to PRISM until this amendment is in effect, on February 20, 2019, ATD filed a Temporary Administrative Order, attached to this email, that immediately amended OAR 839-011-0088 to make it identical to the Proposed Permanent Rule. The temporary rule will remain in effect until the Proposed Permanent Rule becomes final.
