> The Department of Revenue, Finance & Taxation unit, will be holding 15
> Local Budget Law training sessions at various locations throughout the
> state this February and March.
> This workshop will provide an overview of the Local Budget Law process
> for new finance officers, budget committee members, members of the
> governing bodies of local taxing districts and others involved in
> budgeting and certifying local tax levies.
> This workshop will provide a detailed look at the budget process as
> required by Local Budget Law including: the budget committee, the
> content of budget detail sheets, publication requirements, the budget
> hearing, and writing resolutions to adopt the budget and levy property
> taxes. We will also explain the requirements for changing the budget
