[Busmgrs] Healthy and Safe Schools Plans

Dear Business Managers,

A lot of districts have been revising and updating their Healthy and Safe Schools Plans, thank you for doing that. Several districts have requested additional assistance. At this time, we are still not able to provide individual feedback to each district that has requested it. However, we would like to provide a couple of plans created by districts as guides to those that still have questions. The two plans are attached.

Please note that the plans have the following information in them that is missing from other plans:

1.       The plans specifically state what the district will do in the future when it comes to lead testing. They use forward looking language to describe what the district will do in the future.

2.       The plans address how the district will use all required communication means to inform their communities about the plan.

3.       The plans ensure that all links in the plans are active and directing web users to the correct documents.

Please review your plan to see if it is using language similar to these plans. Please note that if your district wants to emulate these plans be wary of simply copying the language as the exact language may not work for your district.

Final plans are due to ODE on January 1, 2017.
