[CAFR-Contacts] Year End Reporting Results

CAFR Accountants,

Thank you for your diligent efforts in meeting year end reporting 
due dates this year!  Here are the results statewide:

*	There were only 3 outstanding statewide balancing issues by the
close of month 13

*	All except 1 agency submitted their CAFR disclosures by September
5th 

*	All except 1 agency submitted their SEFA information by September
5th 

These are very good results, especially considering the challenges
this year with implementation of GASB Statement No. 38, the DHS 
reorganization, and the impact of staff retirements on resources.

We commend you for successfully rising to the challenge to
complete Month 13 activities and submit disclosure information
on time!  As you know, your timely results help us in SARS to 
meet our due dates throughout the remaining CAFR season.  
As I've said before, CAFR preparation is a statewide team effort 
and we really value your support and commitment!   

If you have suggestions on how the year end reporting process 
could be improved, we welcome your comments.  Please let us 
know of any ideas you may have while the year end closing 
process is still fresh in your mind.  We would appreciate any 
feedback you have to share.

One improvement that we have in process is a web-based 
disclosure database for you to input disclosure information. 
Our hope is that we can work with our IT staff to implement
this database for next year's reporting.
