CAFR Accountants,

 

The fiscal year 2006 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for
the State of Oregon is now posted to our web site at the link below.
Thank you for contributing to this tremendous statewide effort.  With
your help, we implemented four new GASB standards this year.  One of
these standards, GASB Statement No. 44, significantly changed the
content of the Statistical Section of the CAFR; we encourage you to take
a look at this new information since much of it was directly provided by
agencies' CAFR Accountants.  We appreciate your cooperation in gathering
the necessary information to make the completion of this report
possible.  As you know, internal controls over financial reporting are
essential to ensure the reliability of the State's financial
information; we value the diligence and commitment of each agency's
fiscal management to ensure controls are in place and monitored on a
regular basis.
