[CAFR-Contacts-News] OAM Policy Updates: Capital Assets - Depreciation & Impairments

Good Morning Everyone,

 

SARS has updated the following policies and posted them for comment.
Both policies reflect the new DAS statewide policy template, which
combines the policy and procedures into one document. In addition, the
DAS Communications Coordinator has reviewed each policy for plain
language.

 

*       OAM 15.60.20 - Capital Assets: Depreciation

 

Please pay particular attention to the revised Policy section and
paragraphs 110, 111, 115 and 116 in the Procedures section.

 

*       OAM 15.60.25 - Capital Asset Impairments

 

Please review the revised Policy section and pay special attention to
changes in paragraphs 116 through 122 in the Procedures section.

Please send me your comments no later than July 21, 2010.

 

The tentative effective date for these policies is August 1, 2010.
