Hello Everyone, 

SARS has just completed a draft policy on cash and cash equivalents. The
purpose of this revised policy is to bring the state's financial
reporting into alignment with GASB Statement No. 9 regarding the
generally accepted definitions of both cash and cash equivalents. The
effective date for this policy is June 9, 2010 and the revised
definitions should be used for FY 2010 reporting. 

All agencies are asked to review the proposed policy and provide any
comments to Scott Smyth by June 7.
