[CAFR-Contacts-News] GSA announces new private vehicle mileagereimbursement rates

Hello Everyone,

The GSA has announced new reimbursement rates for private vehicle
mileage effective for travel on or after April 17, 2012.

The old and new rates are displayed below for your convenience.  The
State Travel Policy will be updated and posted to the web on April 17.

No state owned/operated vehicle is available.

January 1, 2012

$0.51

A privately-owned vehicle is determined to be the most cost-effective
form of transportation.

An individual requires a medical accommodation that has been documented
and cannot be met with a state owned/operated vehicle.

A state owned/operated vehicle is available and is determined to be the
most cost-effective form of transportation; however, the employee's
manager authorizes the employee to use a privately owned vehicle.

January 1, 2012

$0.19

No state owned/operated vehicle is available.

April 17, 2012

$0.555

A privately-owned vehicle is determined to be the most cost-effective
form of transportation.

An individual requires a medical accommodation that has been documented
and cannot be met with a state owned/operated vehicle.

A state owned/operated vehicle is available and is determined to be the
