[CAFR-Contacts-News] New Comptroller Objects - 1109, 1110

Good morning CAFR contacts!

As part of GASB 84 Fiduciary Activities implementation, agencies were asked to notify SARS if new comptroller objects were needed to accurately report inflows and outflows associated with fiduciary activities. As a result, two new revenue comptroller objects were created for use beginning in fiscal year (FY) 2020.

Below are the two new comptroller objects, titles, and descriptions.

1109 - Court Bonds and Security Receipts: Other Revenue- Derived from payments received and held by the court until disposition.
1110 - Other Surety Bond Receipts: Other Revenue-Derived from payment received as a guarantee to protect one party against losses resulting from another party's failure to meet an obligation (e.g. terms of a contract).

Please begin using the above D10 comptroller objects in FY 2020 if your agency has revenue transactions as described above. Please contact your SARS analyst if you have questions. Thanks.
