Please see additional important information below, particularly regarding funding for vaccination related costs:

Vaccine PWs: With more vaccine distribution, you may have or be seeing questions about funding for vaccinations and related activities. Many of these activities, such as distribution, storage and administration are generally eligible as long as they’re not also funded from another source(See attached FEMA COVID 19 Vaccination planning FAQ for Public Assistance (PA) eligibility), and HQ has let us know that vaccine related Project Worksheets(PWs) will be prioritized at the CRC(Consolidated Resource Center).  Please let your PA team know if you have some vaccination related costs for which you’d like to do an expedited PW. Expedited PWs can provide 50% of the estimated cost for approved activities for an approved time period, and the remainder can be funded later when more documentation is available.  The expedited PW job aid and the vaccination planning FAQ are attached.  Please discuss with your assigned FEMA/State Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) under DR4499 –COVID 19 for eligibility and process for this procedure.

Coronavirus Relief Fund: As we mentioned earlier, Treasury has updated its Coronavirus Relief Fund webpage and guidance to incorporate the new deadline for incurred costs as December 31, 2021.

FEMA Releases COVID-19 Initial Assessment Report:  Last week, FEMA released the COVID-19 Initial Assessment Report<https://www.fema.gov/sites/default/files/documents/fema_covid-19-initial-assessment-report_2021.pdf>, which captures after-action findings from all 10 Regions and Headquarters on COVID-19 response operations through September 2020. This report provides a national perspective on areas for improvement, best practices, and recommendations to help inform preparedness activities and improve our Agency Response when facing a pandemic. However, the areas of assessment covered in this document include findings that also apply to any major incident that requires an all-of-nation response.
