Project update

Throughout January, our team was busy holding Core Team orientation sessions with large, medium, and some small-sized agencies. So far, we’ve met with 11 of the 15 agency core team groups (31 agencies) and we'll finish the remaining sessions in February.

We’re now preparing for Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) Replacement enterprise testing that will begin in February. We'll use this time to test business processes that apply to the whole enterprise. Once enterprise testing is complete, agencies can choose to hold a testing session of their own if they have  unique business processes.

We’re also excited to announce that we've scheduled a forum for small state agencies in February to begin engaging with small agencies, boards and commissions. Please continue reading below for all of the details.

State agency wave enrollment dates

[Calendar showing Feb 16 - Mar 2, 2021]Wave enrollment is the process state agencies will use to select an 8-month wave timeframe that works best to go through the procure-to-pay Phase 2 implementation of OregonBuys.

Although we’re still in Phase 1 of the project until ORPIN is replaced, we need state agencies to enroll now so we can prepare for the next project phase.

We're giving advance notice of the enrollment dates due to a limited number of agency size slots in each wave and their first-come-first-served availability. Transition guidance

This guidance includes key dates and scenarios so that state agencies can start preparing now.

When the switch happens, suppliers must be registered in OregonBuys to continue doing business with the state. Existing accounts will not transfer over and suppliers are encouraged to register now in preparation for the change.
