Beginning July 1, 2010, individuals that perform locksmith work in Oregon-unless exempt-must be certified with the Construction Contractors Board (CCB). In addition to the individual certification, businesses offering locksmith services must have a CCB license. CCB's locksmith certification process is available online process and allows an individual to: * Complete the application, * Take the test, * Submit criminal history information, * Request the certification, and * Pay the required fees. Locksmiths needing more information about certification or obtaining a CCB license can visit the CCB website at http://www.oregon.gov/CCB/locksmith.shtml. A New Locksmith Website Search and Link Feature The CCB has completed the utility that allows a CCB licensee to attach the record of their Oregon Certified Locksmith (OCLS). This record will show on the business detail page of the CCB web search. If you own a CCB licensed construction contracting business, you will be able to add the OCLS information to the license through your "CCB myLicense" account. CCB licensees can register for a "CCB myLicense" account (or log in): https://ccbed.ccb.state.or.us/ccb_frames/ccb_index.htm The agency will be issuing a press release that encourages consumers to check for the CCB license and OCLS certification. If you have any questions, please contact the agency at ccb.info at state.or.us. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
