At Parks, we tend to use the rather boring term "anglers."

Subject: "Fishermen" usage
Fishers or fishermen?
Our government relations manager learned something new at the governor's
salmon summit recently - the preferred term for people who make their
living fishing is "fishermen," even when referencing females.
Even though we try to be gender-neutral, we want to use the correct
industry terminology.
But first, we'd like to get a sense of what term other agencies use. Do
you use "fisher," "fishermen," or some other term? Any thoughts,
suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
