[Comm-Council] State Communications Council: February 9 meeting

Hi, everyone.  Mark your calendars:  The next meeting of the Oregon
Communications Council will occur on Friday, February 9, in Conference
Room A of DAS (155 Cottage Steet NE, 2nd floor), at 9:00 a.m.  

 

Theme:  crisis communications.

 

The agenda for the February 9 meeting is attached (along with a wrap-up
of the January meeting).  Crisis communications is critically important
these days, and our guest-presenters will provide interesting and useful
information to consider as the state moves toward finalizing a
government-wide crisis communications plan and business continuity
plans.  This material should prove valuable to all PIOs and
communications directors, since no department or agency can avoid coping
with the realities that a major crisis would impose-a catastrophic storm
or earthquake, terrorist attack, the outbreak of a pandemic, etc.

 

The Governor's communications team will also be on hand.  See you all
there!
