Governor to Promote Expanded Oregon Opportunity Grant at Springfield
High School and Rogue Community College


Tour will promote expanded financial aid that will help low- and
middle-income students afford college


 

Salem - Governor Ted Kulongoski tomorrow will speak at Springfield High
School and Rogue Community College Riverside campus to kick off a tour
promoting the expanded Oregon Opportunity Grant. The grant, beginning
next school year, is based on the Shared Responsibility Model, proposed
by the Governor and passed during the 2007 legislative session. The
expanded grant will greatly increase the number of students who will be
able to receive financial aid, making college affordable for thousands
more Oregonians.
