Governor Proclaims April 27- May 1 "Hunger Awareness Week" 

Governor to deliver food to regional food banks from Portland to Ontario

(Salem) - Continuing his effort to raise awareness about hunger in
Oregon, Governor Ted Kulongoski today proclaimed April 27th - May 1
"Hunger Awareness Week" and next week will deliver several thousand
pounds of food to four regional food banks serving 13 counties.

Every year the Governor declares a week in April "Hunger Awareness Week"
to: 1) Promote awareness about the hunger problem in Oregon; 2) Educate
about the root causes of hunger; and 3) Help inspire citizens and
communities throughout the state to take action to help end hunger in
Oregon.  

The schedule for the Governor's deliveries is below:
