NEWS ADVISORY: STATE ISSUES PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FURLOUGH

Salem - In an effort to notify more Oregonians about state government's
next unpaid furlough day - Friday, Nov. 27 -  the Oregon Department of
Administrative Services has created audio public service announcements
that the news media may use.  Broadcasters can now access the
announcements on the state Web site. 

Who:  State government (Department of Administrative Services)

What:  Public Service Announcements (English and Spanish), telling
listeners that most state agencies will close on Friday, Nov. 27, the
day after Thanksgiving

Where:  Visit the following Web site to listen to or download the mp3
files:
www.Oregon.gov/furlough_closures.shtml. 

When:  The public service announcements are available now through
Friday, Nov. 27, 2009.
