9:00-9:30 Briefing on the 2011 Charitable Fund Drive Campaign
Fred Lord, Property Transactions Coordinator

Fred will provide an overview of this year’s Charitable Fund Drive and the importance of getting the support from the top levels of every agency. He will also discuss how agencies’ communications professionals can help make the Charitable Fund Drive a success.
9:30-10:15 Briefing on services for deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens
Jeff Brownson, Communications Coordinator
Oregon’s Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services, DHS
Jeff will brief the Council on the services his agency provides to deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens. He will also shed light on state agencies’ legal obligations to provide such services as closed captioning.
10:15 Briefing on end-of-session and post-session messages
Governor’s Communications Team
The Governor’s Communications Team will provide a brief look at how things shape up toward the end of the legislative session. We hope to have Reed Wagner (Enterprise Policy Director) on hand to meet the group. The team will answer any members’ questions about the Governor’s inventory of public affairs resources in state government and the communications professionals’ possible roles in delivering his message on major initiatives post-legislative session.
