Governor Kitzhaber Applauds Unanimous House Passage of Cool Schools



(SALEM, Ore.) —  Governor Kitzhaber issued the following statement after the House's unanimous passage of the Cool Schools legislation, HB 2960:

“I commend the House for its passage of Cool Schools,” said Governor Kitzhaber. “The Cool Schools initiative is a central job creation tool and will put people in both rural and urban areas of the state back to work. It will also save significant dollars to put back in the classroom and make schools healthier places to teach and learn. Now it’s on to the Senate. I look forward to signing this important legislation.”
