Key Jobs and Economy Bill
En Route to the Governor



(SALEM, Ore.) — Governor Kitzhaber released the following statement after SB 766 passed the House on a 52-8 vote.  The bill protects regionally significant industrial areas from conversion and speeds permitting when capital projects are performed on those lands.

“Another key element on our Jobs and Economy Agenda will now become law,” said Governor Kitzhaber. “Senate Bill 766 aids our effort to create high-wage industrial jobs and rebuild Oregon’s economy.  I look forward to signing the bill.”
