With retirements looming and no money left in the training budget, your agency may be wondering: how are we supposed to get by?

Team-oriented agency that it is, the Bureau of Labor and Industries is pleased to offer some help on this front with our new State Agency Seminar Series--SASS.

SASS is a series of short, FREE seminars for state agency leadworkers, supervisors, managers--the folks who make the decisions every day that either promote a productive work environment, or will get you sued. These mini seminars deal with specific topics, especially relevant to front-line managers, supervisors and leadworkers, where an ounce of (FREE) prevention is worth a pound of cure. As an extra bonus, because these seminars are FREE, you can also send staff who are aspiring to managerial or supervisory positions--get them some training that your agency may want to call upon in the future!

All the necessary details are on the attached PDF, so let me just share one last thought: for employees new to management service, or who aren't used to being supervisors in a public agency/collective bargaining agreement environment, these brief seminars are the most effective step that you can take to get up to speed quickly and be ready for the inevitable employee drama before it comes knocking on your door.

Thanks all for your consideration,
Bob
