Cool Schools Unanimously Approved by Legislature



(SALEM, Ore.) —  Governor Kitzhaber released the following statement after HB 2960 – the Cool Schools Initiative – was unanimously approved by the Legislature. HB 2960 will expand finance mechanisms for public schools across the state to perform energy efficiency upgrades.

“This is great news for Oregonians," said Governor Kitzhaber. "Cool Schools creates family-wage jobs, saves schools money, and boosts student performance. Cool Schools was a centerpiece of my campaign, and I look forward to signing the bill.”
