Communications Council members,
iLinc Communications has been an effective provider of Web conferencing
and virtual classroom solutions for some time. Using iLinc allows
agencies to deliver work-related meetings and training events virtually
over the Web, avoiding the typical costs of in-person delivery - travel,
logistics, etc. In fact, over the past two years, iLinc has helped the
state save approximately 2.2 million travel miles, which is equal to
saving about 1.1 million carbon emissions!
As a result of recent negotiations, DAS is excited to announce plans to
procure a statewide, enterprise solution at a dramatically reduced cost.
iLinc customers will pay only $1/month in addition to a minimal fee for
license set up and administration. Having your own iLinc account will
allow your agency to create and control its own Web meetings and virtual
classroom sessions at anytime.
Please join us on April 20, 2012, when representatives from DAS, iLinc
Communications and Oregon State University will explain the transition
to the enterprise solution. Additional topics will include the
assignment of user accounts and associated costs.
