The due date for the CTE Revitalization Grant application is only about a month from now. Some of you may be involved in writing the final proposal. Our next webinar, CTE Revitalization: Crafting a Quality Proposal, will focus on tips for preparing the proposal. The webinar is scheduled for Friday, September 27, starting at 3:00 p.m. You can join the webinar on that day by going to http://oregoned.webex.com and clicking on the join icon. You should be able to join beginning about 2:45 p.m. A recording of the webinar will be posted on the CTE Revitalization website at www.ode.state.or.us/go/ctegrant.
We are looking for grant reviewers. The grant review will take place in two parts. An online training and scoring will begin on November 1, 2013. After the initial training, reviewers will have until November 12, 2013 to complete and report scoring of the assigned applications. On November 14, 2013 there will be a mandatory meeting in Salem to work on final scoring and comments. Ideally, reviewers will come from a variety of backgrounds – business, industry, education, labor – and from a wide range of experiences – partnerships, equity, sustainability, counseling, etc. ODE staff will attempt to match grant proposals to reviewer expertise. Reviewers will receive reimbursement for travel expenses at per diem rates. If you are interested in being a reviewer, please download the following document and respond to the reviewer application included as a link in that document.
