This email is intended to provide you with updates and information that may be helpful to prospective applicants for a CTE Revitalization Grant. 


1.        There have been numerous hearings in the Legislature regarding funding of CTE and STEM.  Some of the bills we mentioned in previous communications continue to move forward and some have been consolidated with other bills.  A recent addition is HB 3072 which provides a framework for funding CTE and STEM.  You can follow the bill at .  The amendments to the bill significantly change the original bill.   The bill has been referred to the Joint Committee on Ways and Means which deals with funding.  Many funding decisions will likely be delayed until after the May revenue forecast. 


2.        Technology industries are considered to be important to the future of Oregon’s economy.  The High Impact Technology Exchange Conference sponsored by the National Science Foundation will be held in Portland in July.  The conference website is
