The Oregon Department of Education, in partnership with the Oregon STEM Investment Council will be extending the due date for the following grant applications:

·         Emerging STEM Hubs – New due date January 19, 2016

·         STEM Innovation Grant:  Math in Real Life Professional Development – New due date January 22, 2016

 

There is no expectation of any additional changes in grant timelines for the CTE and STEM Investments.  The agency appreciates all of the work the extended education community and look forward to robust and well developed proposals.

 

Three new CTE and STEM grants are being released today.  Information webinars will take place the first week of January.

 

STEM Innovation Grant RFPs released

 

Thanks to the funding provided by the 2015 legislature, the Out of School STEM Innovation and The Digital Literacy and Computer Science Innovation Grants for 2015 -2017 have been released and can be found on the STEM Education Grants page


Out of School STEM Innovation Grant

The Out of School STEM Innovation grant provides funding for development of a regional network to provide a series of STEM experiences for students in grades 4 through 8.  These experiences will take place primarily outside of the regular school time: after school, weekends, breaks, and/or summer.

 

Applications are due February 5, 2016.

The Digital Literacy and Computer Science Innovation Grant

 

The Digital Literacy and Computer Science Innovation grant’s purpose is to provide increased student access to computer science education in grades 7-12.   Recipient(s) will design an ongoing professional development within a statewide network of educators, and create a state framework to facilitate the growth of computer science and digital literacy education throughout the state.

 

Applications are due February 5, 2016.

CTE Summer Programs Grant RFP Release

 

Thanks to the funding provided by the 2015 legislature, the CTE Summer Programs Grant for 2015 -2017 have been released and can be found on the CTE Initiatives & Partnerships page.

The CTE Summer Programs project supports development and implementation of middle school and high school summer programs linked to existing high wage and high demand CTE Programs of Study.  The eligible fiscal agent can be a public school district, ESD, community college, or university.
