[DAS_Centralized_PERS_Services_Team] PERS Subject Payments for Terminated Workers

Good morning Payroll Partners,

This is just a reminder that when making payments to terminated workers (example: settlement payments) manual entries need to be made to withhold PERS employee and employer contributions.

This step is required due to Workday functionality. In Workday when an employee terminates, the PERS benefit enrollment is no longer active, and therefore not automatically withheld from payments. If the payment was for PERS subject wages, then manual pay input entries must be made to withhold PERS before the check is issued.
