SUBJECT: July - August 2004 Diversity Events Calendar

Greetings! We are happy to deliver the July-August Diversity Events Calendar!

Summers are a very special time. In many ways people begin to get out of their routines, take vacations, and enjoy much of what the State of Oregon has to offer.  One of Oregon's assets is its cultural diversity. When one takes notice, there a variety of cultural activities and celebrations that occur during this part of the year. Since everyone has a culture, the possibilities are vast in terms of what one can experience.

The Diversity Events Calendar lists many of the activities that can benefit children, families, students, educators, health and human services professionals, and myriad of others needing to know more about Oregon's rich cultural mosaic. We encourage you to get out, enjoy the sun, and engage in and learn about many of the diverse communities that make up our state. As one learns to value diversity, it is also an opportunity to learn to appreciate what we have in common and how we all contribute to the richness of Oregon.
