[DLCD_FederalConsistency] Public Comment Period Notice for Federal Agency Activities with Environmental Benefits

Hello:

This is a notice for federal activities in the coastal zone that are seeking an exemption from further federal consistency review because of the environmentally beneficial nature and purpose of the project.

Section 307(c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act, as amended, requires federal agency actions to be consistent with state coastal management programs to the maximum extent practicable. According to 15 CFR Part 930 under Subpart C, federal agencies may ask that certain environmentally beneficial activities be exempt from further review, either on project-by-project basis or by category.
