 *   FY 2008 – FY 2009 Funding Status.  Wave 16 for FY 2009 and Wave 65 for FY 2008 will both be released this week.   There will be no change in Priority 2 funding in either wave.
 *   SLD Computer System Upgrade, cont.  The SLD provided additional details on the upcoming system cutover that will temporarily inactivate the forms and database functions of its Web site.  Applicants needing to file Form 470s within the next month must pay particular attention to the limitations this transition will impose.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  A recent FCC appeal decision confirms the denial of funding to subcontractors providing service under fraudulently-obtained contracts  Four of the eight SLD workshops scheduled for this fall are already fully subscribed; the schedule for Houston should be finalized this week.


 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated August 14th – Appeals.   This week’s FCC broadband workshop will be broadcast via webinar.
