District Testing Coordinators and Others,
AYP Final Reports Available - Note from Jon Bridges
AYP final reports are available for preview on the district secure website
https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/. The final reports reflect
student demographic data changes made through PADM (including district
special education and full academic year identification). The reports
also reflect assessment appeals to ODE to correct edits that did not
"take" during the PADM edit window. For smaller schools and district, the
final reports reflect the inclusion of four years of data and local
assessment information when required for determining AYP. Finally, report
card rules for boundary and school configuration changes and the resulting
inclusion or removal of a limited number of institutions have been
applied.
Please note the following changes since the August 10th preliminary
reports:
1. K-12 school reports reflect the correct number of assessments and the
correct other academic indicator for determining AYP
2. The number of tests reported at the district level have changed since
August. District totals now reflect all students identified as enrolled
in the district for a full academic year, including students enrolled in
district programs. In addition, the 2001-02 district data includes
students enrolled in schools that were closed in 2002-03.
If you have questions about the final reports, email
ayp.reports at state.or.us or call (503) 378-3600 ext. 2287
On-Line Order Site Delay (bar-code & non bar-code districts)
Due to further complications in programming, ODE's new on-line order
application remains in a suspended state. When the site is functioning
properly (saving orders and allowing English/Spanish/Russian MPS and
English/Spanish Writing orders) - we will go live. Our IT shop needs one
more day of coding to correct problems that have surfaced. ODE will
conduct another Quality Check of the application Friday. The "on-line
order" application should be available for statewide ordering by Monday
Nov. 10th and will be available for ordering through Nov. 19th. DTC will
be given a progress check by end of day Thursday.
This first round of ordering is intended for the Jan. 17 - Feb. 14
performance assessment window . ODE expects that districts will include
all B 2 (grade 5), B 3 (grade 8) as well as CIM students that are testing
during the first performance assessment window.
Assessment Collection (non bar-code districts)
If you submitted your assessment collection (pre-code file) - YEAH!! Thank
you - Thank you!
The published deadline is Nov. 7th for submitting this information so that
EDS will be able to pre-fill student/school demographic information on
answer folders for the winter performance assessment (Jan.17 - February
14). A number of districts have requested an extension to complete this
task. Please attempt to complete the submission of pre-code files by the
7th, but if you need a little more time to collect and submit these files
please do so ASAP. This free per-code service will only be accepted until
Nov. 14th. After Nov.14th, districts will receive the quantities ordered
(through ODE's On-Line Ordering Application) with blank student
information that will necessitate hand bubbling by teachers/students or
contracting with a service provider for bar-coding
If you have questions or need help with this submission, please don't
hesitate to call our wonderful helpdesk 503 - 378-3600 x 2645. They will
be able to assist you in this process.
