RE:	Upcoming NASDSE Satellite Conference -- sorry for the delayed
notice.

The first NASDSE broadcast of the 2004-05 satellite series, "Supporting
Quality Education for Students with Disabilities Through Innovation"
will air on September 29, 2004, from 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PST.  The
session is titled "Ensuring Appropriate Assessments for All Students
with Special Needs." School districts will want to tune in for this
critical discussion. Necessary materials are linked on the ODE web site
in both Word and PDF formats to ease in dissemination, at
http://www.ode.state.or.us/initiatives/elearning/nasdse/. Local ESDs
will be hosting this event.

For those schools unable to participate for whatever reasons, the
Department will once again provide taped copies of the broadcasts for
dissemination to ESDs to share with school staff.  Please contact the
special education director at your local ESD to confirm your admittance
and attendance to this event.  Also, do not hesitate to contact Stella
